Infineon invited us to their Spoorthi Day, a day the company sets aside for its people rather than its targets, and asked Murali, our co-founder and CEO, to take the stage. The subject was ikigai, the Japanese idea of a reason to get up in the morning, the overlap of what you love, what you are good at, and what the day actually needs. It is the kind of talk a reading company is glad to give, the case for attention and meaning made out loud, in a room that had set its laptops aside for an hour. The books were on the table at the back, but for once they were not the point.
